I’m studying abroad, so it makes sense to sign up for cards that offer free flights! 😀 Here’s some of my research!
Currently I’m getting a $200 cash rebate from my $10,000 business expense each month with my XtraSaver debit card, which comes up to a 24% ROI y/y. However, I’ll be spending an additional $10k each month by March next year and I’m thinking whether to put this $10k expense to another XtraSaver card (another $200) or KrisFlyer miles (that’s 16000 miles with the DBS Altitude card – http://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/cards/credit-card/american-express-altitude/default.page )
Here are the Miles redemption table:
From Singapore/Changi (SIN) To San Francisco (SFO)
Round-trip Economy Saver Award ticket
Round-trip Economy Standard Award ticket
Round-trip Economy Full Award ticket
I chose the 70000 one, obviously. This is worth $1900 according to the SIA website.
So my 16000 miles are worth $434. = S$5 = 4 DBS Points = 8 miles, so S$10k = 16000 miles?
Wait, so I get 32k miles from spending $10k? Worth $868.
Hmmm… Sounds too good to be true lol. ><
